New Homes Week, launched by the HBF in 2005, is an annual celebration of the benefits of new build homes. The theme for this campaign is ‘Community’.
Home builders delivered around 226,000 homes last year, significantly contributing to economic activity across the UK: £8.6 billion in the South East, £6.3 billion in the East of England and £5 billion in the East Midlands.
New home developments contributed to £6.4 billion spending in local shops, helping support high streets, while £1.4 billion was allocated to infrastructure funding essential projects like roads, schools, and healthcare facilities to create thriving communities.
Meanwhile over £10 billion was invested in affordable housing last year, ensuring people have access to quality homes and strengthening communities. Source: Dataloft by PriceHubble, Home Builders Federation 2023–2024
