With inflation falling to just 2.3% and the base rate widely expected to be cut soon, 64% of agents say buyer confidence is significantly or slightly improved compared to three months ago.
Almost half of agents say that sales listings have increased. As more sellers return to the market, the number of homes for sale has reached an eight-year high.
Despite the rise in confidence, the rate of withdrawals has remained the same over the past three months.
As the rental market heads into its typically busier summer season and properties get snapped up quicker, 41% of agents report lower stock levels. Source: #Dataloft by PriceHubble (poll of subscribers) May 2024
