Latest data on population trends gives an insight into which cities are successfully attracting new residents. Population growth is a key driver of housing demand.
Cities which are prospering and have a strong jobs market will attract new residents. Other factors that drive population growth include housing affordability.
Many of the top performing cities over the last year have also outperformed over the last 10 years showing a consistently strong trend: Coventry, Milton Keynes, Leicester, Exeter and Telford.
Milton Keynes, Telford and Exeter all have aspects of their jobs market that scores highly at the moment, whilst Telford and Leicester score well on affordability measures (top 10).
