• Cities which are prospering and have a strong jobs market will attract new residents. Other factors that drive population growth include housing affordability.

• Many of the top performing cities over the last year have also outperformed over the last 10 years showing a consistently strong trend: Coventry, Milton Keynes, Leicester, Exeter and Telford.

• Milton Keynes, Telford and Exeter all have aspects of their jobs market that scores highly at the moment, whilst Telford and Leicester score well on affordability measures (top 10).
