  • Over two thirds (67%) of landlords currently own at least one property that does not meet the new requirements for the government’s proposed EPC ‘C’ targets.

  • The government has confirmed that all homes in the private rented sector will have to achieve Energy Performance Certificate 'C' or equivalent by 2030.

  • Awareness among landlords is high, with 92% having at least some knowledge of the requirements. However, only 67% report a thorough understanding of the details.

  • 42% of landlords plan to make the necessary improvements to bring their properties up to EPC standards. Source: Dataloft by PriceHubble, Foundation Home Loans for Q3 2024
