The Sunday Times’ Best Place to Live in the UK 2025 focused on more than just good schools or fast broadband. Most important was a strong sense of community, followed by transport links, culture, green spaces, and a thriving high street. 📰🌳🏫🚆

Community is vital to residents — 69% of renters would rent longer if there was a sense of community in the local area. 🤝📊

The regional winners come in all shapes and sizes, from the village of Ilmington in the Midlands, North Berwick in Scotland, to the London suburb of Walthamstow. 🏡🌍

Saffron Walden takes the top spot due to its historic looks, excellent state schools, a rich cultural offering, as well as its convenient commuter links. 🏆🏰🎭🚉
